Withdrawn / Thompson on Family Values
Words: Thompson believes that families are the foundation of our nation and our culture. “To counter coarseness in today’s culture that oftentimes victimizes our children and undermines the traditional values parents want to instill, we must not only protect but strengthen the institutions of family and marriage.”
Actions: Thompson had three children from his first marriage (which ended in divorce), one of whom died from a drug overdose. He’s had two children with his trophy wife. Thompson voted FOR restrictions on violent video broadcasts during child television-viewing hours (2003).
Update: Thompson turned heads when he was asked what his most prized possession was and he answered, “My trophy wife.”
