Romney on the Environment
Words: Romney believes that “our environment hasn’t been cleaned the way it could be”. He supports regulation of greenhouse gas emissions, primarily through voluntary measures, but also supports drilling for oil in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.
Actions: As governor, Romney issued a 72-point Climate Protection Plan, but pushed for a cap on fees charged to businesses who exceed emission limits.
