McCain on the Budget & Spending
Words: McCain believes we should drastically cut government spending and eliminate all pork-barrel bills. He supports a Balanced Budget Amendment.
Actions: McCain voted FOR a balanced budget constitutional amendment (1997), AGAINST making national debt reduction a lower priority than tax cuts (2000), and FOR a $40 billion reduction in overall spending (2005).
