Words: Clinton believes that mandatory sentencing has been too widely used, though she supports “three strikes” legislation. She has promoted stricter sentencing for hate crimes and supports the death penalty, but feels that DNA testing should be required for all federal executions. “We need more police, we need more and tougher prison sentences for repeat offenders.”
Actions: Clinton voted FOR funding the Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) program (2007). CURE has given her a rating of 70%.
