Withdrawn / Kucinich on the Environment
Words: Kucinich has frequently campaigned for clean water initiatives and generally supports most environmental protection legislation. “A clean environment, a sustainable economy, and an intact ozone layer are not luxuries, but necessities for our planet’s future.”
Actions: Kucinich voted AGAINST repealing the authority to designate an area as “critical habitats” for endangered species (2005), FOR the prohibition of funding for a Yucca Mountain web site (2006), and FOR restoring funding to AMTRAK (2006). The League of Conservation Voters has given him a rating of 85%.
