He feels that we must double our energy from renewable sources by 2010. “We have to understand the connection between global warring and global warming. … We need to move away from reliance on oil and coal and toward reliance on wind and solar.”

Actions: Kucinich voted FOR implementing the Kyoto Protocol (2000), FOR prohibiting oil drilling in ANWR (2001), AGAINST implementing the Bush administration’s energy policy (2003), AGAINST authorizing construction of new oil refineries (2005 & 2006), FOR maintaining the moratorium on offshore oil drilling (2006), FOR removing oil and gas exploration subsidies (2007), and FOR criminalizing oil cartels like OPEC (2007). The Campaign for America’s Future has given Kucinich a rating of 100%.
